Volunteering at ICIS

ICIS is supported and encouraged by a team of volunteers who help with the many essential administrative tasks involved in running, maintaining and developing an information resource. These tasks can include:

• data entry (using Access databases or Excel spreadsheets)
• gathering information by phone
• photocopying
• organising mailings
• dealing with correspondence
• maintaining display material
• gathering new information
• library work
• website data entry

Volunteers are normally asked to commit to at least two hours per week, either morning or afternoon between 9am and 4.30pm.

Opportunities for short-term work experience placements may also be possible. Full training and supervision is provided and travel expenses to ICIS are reimbursed.
